About the book

“The day of the meeting finally came. Charlotte, as shown by some students she had met along the University’s avenue, and whom she had asked where she could find Dr Miller, headed resolutely and quickly towards a grey building with red bricks at the top”. This is how the surprising adventure that will take Charlotte – the novel’s protagonist – into a series of unimaginable experiences, begins. Charlotte Anderson is a promising young researcher in her late twenties. She has achieved her dream after many sacrifices, and has been called to New York to continue her research at a prestigious university. It is in this highly motivating and fascinating environment that she has the opportunity to make some mind-blowing encounters. However, difficulties and disappointments will come back into her life, already burdened by a terrible secret from her past. A Researcher’s Dream in New York, by Antonella Cassanelli, embodies all the intensity and gentleness of a lively prose, in which the protagonists display an uncommon strength and emotionality, making the pages a compelling and at the same time harmoniously enthralling blend of senses and souls.
